WWE is all about inclusivity and making sure fans from all over the world can enjoy their product without feeling excluded. Unfortunately, the company received a lot ad of backlash from fans after a controversial segment on RAW this week featuring Carito. In fact, IYO SKY and Kairi Sane’s reaction to his remark has been revealed.

During the October 21st episode of RAW, Carlito had a backstage segment with RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. After IYO SKY and Kairi Sane left the room following a frustrating discussion, Carlito quipped that he needed to “learn Chinese.” Afterwards, Carlito would try to convince Adam Pearce to give Dominik Mysterio a shot at GUNTHER’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Carlito’s racially insensitive remark was not unheard as many fans bashed him and WWE on social media for even giving the green light for such a remark. However, it is to be noted that Carlito’s line was an ad-lib and definitely not part of the script and it ended up making many people backstage in the company.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that IYO SKY and Kairi Sane did not have any problem with Carlito’s controversial line, as they simply saw him portraying the role of an idiot.

”I was told by the same person that said that the Carlito line was an ad-lib that IYO and Kairi did not have a problem with it. They saw it as him playing an idiot and that was that.”

Therefore, it appears that many people have blown this whole situation out of proportion as IYO Sky and Kairi Sane themselves found no issue with Carlito’s line. Nonetheless, fans do hope Carlito will still avoid saying such lines in the future to avoid controversy.
