AEW is known for their hard-hitting match-ups, and sometimes wrestlers can take it as far as they want to. Chris Jericho and Mark Briscoe had another battle during the October 22 AEW Dynamite, and they left it all over the ring.

Chris Jericho and Mark Briscoe went to war at WrestleDream 2024, but The Learning Tree did not win the title. In the end, he got another match, but it wasn’t a typical match at all.

During the October 23 episode of AEW Dynamite, the ROH World Title was on the line once again, this time in a Ladder War. This was all because Jericho couldn’t keep Jay Briscoe’s name out of his mouth, and Mark wanted to shut it for him.

This match started off strong, and it didn’t take much time before Chris Jericho went through a table at ringside. They continued and later teased a spot where they climbed up the ladder in the center of the ring to capture the ROH World Title belt that was suspended by wires.

Mark Briscoe was busted open in this match, but he didn’t let that stop him. He later put Jericho through a ladder that was propped up on the turnbuckle with a Death Valley Driver. Mark wore a Jay Briscoe t-shirt during the match to give himself even more motivation.

Briscoe landed a dive off the top rope onto Jericho while he had a ladder on him. Instead of climbing up, he went outside to get another table. Then they ended up fighting on the top of the ladder, and Mark was knocked off, but he then tipped over the ladder to keep the match going.

The match continued and Jericho found himself on a table. Then Mark Briscoe climbed to the top of a ladder, but Bryan Keith ran down to distract him. Then Rocky Romero ran down with a kendo stick to chase Keith off. That was followed by Mark Briscoe nailing a very high dive off the ladder through Jericho a table.

Mark Briscoe nailed a Jay Driller next, and then he climbed up the ladder to retain the ROH World Title, but Big Bill jumped in the ring and chokeslammed Mark over the top rope and through two tables on the floor. This was followed by Big Bill putting Jericho on his shoulders to climb up and take the ROH World Title.

Now Chris Jericho is ROH World Champion, but it didn’t come without controversy. We will have to see how things are booked next at this point.
