Carlito Received Backstage Heat for Racially Insensitive Line on 10/21 WWE RAW

WWE aims to put on a great show for all its fans, but it has recently faced criticism for some racially insensitive comments and other issues. A controversial remark made by Carlito during RAW this week sparked significant backlash, and it seems he has received backstage heat as a result.

Carlito was previously a member of the LWO but turned heel earlier this year by attacking Dragon Lee. He is now part of Monday Night RAW and has joined forces with The Judgment Day. While WWE appears to have plans for him, things haven’t been going too well for him lately.

During the October 21st episode of RAW, Carlito had a backstage segment with RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. After IYO SKY and Kairi Sane expressed their frustrations, Carlito made a controversial remark, stating, “I gotta learn Chinese.” This comment sparked a lot of outrage from fans on social media, with many expressing disbelief that WWE would allow such a line to be included.

According to WrestleVotes during a live Q&A with Bill Apter on Backstage Pass, Carlito’s controversial line was not planned and caught many people in WWE by surprise. The Judgment Day member is facing some backstage heat because of it. It’s unclear how serious the situation will become, but it doesn’t seem like a good look for Carlito at the moment.

“That line was unscripted, that was from Carlito. There was some heat on Carlito for it. I know speaking to people I talked to it did take them by surprise. So we’ll see what happens out of it. I don’t know how big a deal they’re gonna make it, but probably not a great look for Carlito.”

We had previously reported that there has been internal discontent regarding the incident, as quite a few people backstage were upset over Carlito’s controversial line. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see whether WWE will decide to take action against Carlito, as things definitely do not look good for him at the moment.
