The AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view was held on October 12th at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington and it had quite a few matches that entertained fans from start to finish. Unfortunately, it appears an AEW star ended up suffering an injury at the event and may be out of action for a while.
The pay-per-view was headlined by Bryan Danielson defending his AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley and it saw The Purveyor of Violence defeat The American Dragon for the AEW World Championship, Adam Cole also made his shocking return during the show and many other moments took place throughout the night.
One of the highlights of the show was undoubtedly Hologram facing The Beast Mortos in a two-out-of-three-falls match. Hologram came out on top, extending his impressive winning streak. However, Hologram ended up getting written off during the October 19th edition of AEW Collision last week after a brutal attack by Mortos.
According to Luchablog, Hologram sustained an injury during his match at WrestleDream. During the bout, there was a moment where Hologram performed an outside dive, and after landing, he appeared to be holding his knee. While nothing has been officially confirmed, it is believed that Hologram may be out of action until after Full Gear next month.
It is certainly unfortunate that Hologram suffered an injury during WrestleDream, as his incredible in-ring skills have been a highlight on AEW programming since his debut earlier this year. Nonetheless, fans hope he will return earlier than expected and continue his feud with The Beast Mortos.
