Mark Briscoe successfully defended his Ring of Honor World Championship against Chris Jericho last Saturday at AEW’s WrestleDream event. This match served as a fitting response to Jericho’s attempts to get into Briscoe’s head by mentioning his late brother Jay during the buildup.
Despite being pinned cleanly after taking Jay’s old finishing move, Jericho remains determined to win his ninth World title, aiming to become “El Nueve.” In his quest for another opportunity, he once again taunted Briscoe about his brother, prompting Briscoe to challenge Jericho to a Ladder War for this week’s Dynamite. Fans certainly hope that this match will be the end of their feud once and for all.
The Elite, featuring Jack Perry and The Young Bucks, will take on Daniel Garcia and Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) in a six-man tag team match. This matchup follows a challenge from Garcia and Private Party, who criticized The Elite for allowing Jon Moxley and his team to dominate AEW and hurt so many people after AEW WrestleDream.
During Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision, it was confirmed that Sammy Guevara will face Shelton Benjamin in a singles match for Dynamite this week. This announcement came after Guevara challenged Benjamin, expressing his desire to compete against the best. The match is sure to be a banger as both in-ring competitors are highly talented inside the squared circle.
HOOK has been in pursuit of his father Taz’s attacker since Taz was attacked before AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday. HOOK then revealed that he found footage of the attacker and will expose him during Dynamite this week.
Kamille is set to compete on the October 23 episode of AEW Dynamite, where she will face Queen Aminata in what will undoubtedly be a hard-hitting affair. Elsewhere, The House of Black will be in action as well. Kyle Fletcher will also address the AEW fans during a segment on the show.
