WWE is experiencing steady growth, particularly following NXT’s recent move to the CW Network. Three shows have aired under this new partnership, and WWE is preparing for a special episode next month at a famous ECW arena. An ECW legend is also expected to be in attendance for the event.
As previously reported, WWE had booked the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, although the exact date was not confirmed. It was then announced that NXT would be held on Wednesday, November 6, at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, which used to be called the ECW Arena. The event will be shown live on The CW at 8 pm ET and there was already a lot of hype for the show.
PWInsider reports that WWE Hall of Famer and ECW Original Bubba Ray Dudley will attend the WWE NXT taping on November 6 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. Dudley, also known as Bully Ray, will meet VIP ticketholders as part of a package that includes a commemorative chair.
This event marks WWE’s first live show at the venue since 2006, when their version of ECW held a house show there. WWE previously used the arena for a special meet and greet during WrestleMania 40 weekend, featuring The Dudley Boyz and Al Snow.
We have also reported that the pre-sale tickets for the show sold out in minutes. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see just how massive this show will turn out to be, as there is undoubtedly a ton of excitement for good reason.
