Daniel Garcia has officially committed his future to All Elite Wrestling, putting an end to speculation about his status. The 26-year-old star announced his re-signing during the October 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, following weeks of uncertainty after being off television since AEW All Out.

During an appearance on Up Close with Renee Paquette, Garcia expressed his excitement about staying with AEW and detailed why this was the right move for him.

“I re-signed with AEW last week, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I’m 26 years old, and it’s one of the biggest decisions I’ve had to make in my life. I think I made the right one,” Garcia shared.

Garcia emphasized that AEW’s slogan, “Where the best wrestle,” played a major role in his decision. “AEW has a lot of momentum right now… Okada, Ospreay, Mercedes [Mone], me. All in one year. We’re putting our flag in,” Garcia explained, reinforcing his belief in AEW’s mission. “This is where the best in the world choose to be.”

Garcia also mentioned that despite having offers from other promotions, he chose to stay because he sees AEW as a platform to push the sport forward. “We have choices to go everywhere… We choose to be at AEW because we believe in it and because we think it’s something that can improve wrestling for hopefully forever.”

Currently, Garcia is aligned with Private Party’s Zay and Quen on AEW TV, further solidifying his place in the roster’s next generation of talent.
