Ricochet Makes Debut at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling ‘Forged In Excellence’ Night Two

Ricochet, who had been with WWE since 2018 before departing earlier this year, officially signed with AEW and has already competed in several matches. He also made his shocking debut at MLP Forged in Excellence and set up a big feud for the future.

Ricochet shocked everyone at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling’s “Forged In Excellence” event in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, making a surprise appearance during the show’s second night. Even Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita were caught off guard when Ricochet intervened in the post-match chaos.

The main event saw Konosuke Takeshita, the AEW International Champion, pick up a hard-fought victory over TNA Wrestling’s Josh Alexander on Sunday, October 20, 2024. After the match, Callis repeatedly mentioned Ricochet and Will Ospreay, both of whom Takeshita had previously defeated at AEW WrestleDream to win the title.

As Callis and Takeshita launched a vicious attack on the defeated Alexander, Ricochet stormed into the ring, marking his debut for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. He quickly drove Takeshita and Callis out of the ring, with the latter so flustered that Takeshita left behind his championship belt.

We will have to wait and see how AEW will book Ricochet and Konosuke Takeshita’s feud in the coming weeks, as it’s clear as day that Ricochet is in hot pursuit of the AEW International Championship.
