Vince McMahon, at 77 years old, announced his retirement for the first time following hush-money allegations back in 2022. Triple H took over as the Head of Creative before McMahon returned in 2023 but he took over again after McMahon resigned. In fact, Kevin Nash believes The Game have left WWE had McMahon not resigned.

On January 25th, a former WWE staff member named Janel Grant initiated legal proceedings against WWE, John Laurinaitis, and Vince McMahon. The lawsuit alleges that McMahon was involved in incidents of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and sex trafficking, spanning the period from their first encounter in March 2019 to March 2022. After the sexual trafficking lawsuit, Vince McMahon officially resigned from WWE and TKO Holdings.

While speaking on the Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash talked about who the greatest wrestler of all time is. Nash said it’s a matter of opinion, but in terms of the business side, he thinks Paul “Triple H” Levesque is the best. He believes Triple H has had the most successful career, both as a wrestler and in running the company.

Nash explained that when Triple H took charge of WWE’s creative direction, things changed a lot for the better. Even though Vince McMahon tried to interfere, Triple H’s leadership made a big difference. Nash suggested that if things had gone wrong, Triple H might have quit WWE, just like Stephanie McMahon did. He also mentioned that conversations with Triple H and how the new owners, Endeavor value him made Nash feel good about Triple H’s future in the company.

“My whole thing is, it’s just like, who’s the greatest of all time? It’s just like, you know, absolutely there’s the 1A and 1B you know, whether you’re a Flair guy or you’re a Hogan guy, and then there’s the business aspect guy and I say that the best run of anybody would be Triple H from all standpoints of the business. There’s no comparison.

I think one of the reasons is because he’s so good at what he does on a daily basis. As soon as he got his hands on the controls, sh*t changed. The product became, I mean, it just was night and day. Then Vince almost tried to kibosh it and they went through all that sh*t again. I think at that point if it wouldn’t have went the way it did, I think Paul would have walked. Steph already had. I mean, we never had the conversation, but I know Paul. I mean, I have talked to Paul about some other things. I know some other information that made me feel really good when I heard how Endeavor (TKO) felt about Paul.”

Nonetheless, WWE’s business is booming thanks to Triple H’s creative vision and Vince McMahon’s exit and fans couldn’t be happier about this fact. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see how WWE will continue to grow in the coming months.
