Chris Jericho continues to build his legacy beyond the wrestling ring, adding acting credits to his already storied career. Known for his success as a multi-time world champion in WWE and AEW, Jericho has also made appearances in movies like MacGruber, Terrifier 2, and the Terrifier 3.

During an appearance on The Adam Carolla Show, Jericho was asked about his acting ambitions and how they compare to the career paths of fellow wrestlers-turned-Hollywood stars like The Rock and John Cena. Jericho highlighted his achievements while embracing the similarities between performing in wrestling and acting.

“I’ll say this too, I was looking up last night to see if John [Cena] ever had the number one movie in the country, and he hasn’t,” Jericho remarked with a laugh. “So there we go, Chris Jericho and The Rock have had the number one movie.”

Jericho emphasized that acting is a natural extension of his wrestling career. “Acting is kind of what we do in wrestling… I’ve done quite a few things over the years, but the last year and a half, two years have been a lot more, which is great. When you get the evasive offer to be in a movie, that’s what you’re looking for. You don’t have to audition or worry.”

He added that offers like his role in Terrifier 2 came without the need for auditions, which he considers a milestone in his acting journey. “When you get that, it’s a really cool place to be in. So yeah, of course, I’d love to continue to work my way up the ladder. It’s fun—this is what we do, and I’ve been doing it for 34 years.”

Reflecting on his long career, Jericho noted that acting has been part of his skillset since he began wrestling at 19. “It’s just playing a character,” he explained. “The overall intention is to do more for sure, but I’ve been enjoying it and learning along the way.”

Jericho’s acting pursuits coincide with his continued prominence in AEW, where he remains an essential part of the roster. Up next, he will challenge for the ROH World Championship on the October 23rd episode of AEW Dynamite.
