AEW President Tony Khan is certainly very passionate about pro wrestling and no one really doubts that. However, Khan has gained a lot of notoriety over the past couple of years. Even then, Khan will always defend his fans against critics and it appears that’s what he did as he clapped back at a wrestling podcaster who called an AEW fan stupid.

Controversial wrestling podcaster JD from NY took to Twitter and commented on a backstage segment with Daniel Garcia and Orange Cassidy during the October 19th edition of AEW Collision this week and criticized everyone in the segment. He stated that Orange Cassidy has been overexposed, Daniel Garcia isn’t someone anyone believes in and Tony Khan booked Private Party into obscurity.

”LOL. Orange Cassidy has been over exposed. Daniel Garcia? Nobody believes in him. Private Party? Tony Khan has booked them into obscurity for 4 years. It all reeks of desperation, instead of planned long term investment.”

This led to a fan stating that they believe in Daniel Garcia as well as others. In response, JD from NY called the fan stupid and stated that the only reason they believe in Garcia is due to the fact that they don’t know what’s really going on.

”We do believe in Daniel Garcia…

No you don’t LOL. You only believe because you’re f****** stupid to what actually is going on.

This led to AEW President Tony Khan responding to JD from NY, as he clapped back at the podcaster and questioned why he would call a fan stupid for just expressing their opinion, defending the fan in a big way.

”Why would you tell a fan that they’re stupid for just expressing their opinion. Everyone is allowed to have beliefs and opinions, it doesn’t make them stupid. #AEWCollision”

After JD from NY claimed that he called the fan stupid simply because he could, Tony Khan stated that opinions are all subjective and Khan pointed out that he never once called the podcaster stupid in five years, despite the fact that he doesn’t agree with a lot of NY’s opinions.

”Because I can Tony. ITS ALL SUBJECTIVE

Yes exactly, it’s all subjective. That’s why I’ve never called you stupid once in 5 years, despite the fact that I often disagree with your opinions.”

Even Dax Harwood recently got into a heated Twitter spat with JD from NY over Jimmy Jacobs’ AEW exit. Nonetheless, Tony Khan will always make sure to defend his fans from unwarranted criticism, especially targeting their intelligence and many fans will always respect Khan for such actions no matter what.
