Keith Lee was one of the mainstays of AEW television and fans continue to support him no matter what, even during his absence from television. In light of his absence, Lee has made it clear that fans will need to be more patient about his return.
Keith Lee has not been seen on AEW television since his Worlds End match was pulled. His last official appearance was on the December 23 episode of AEW Collision, where he defeated Brian Cage. Lee would go on to reveal later that he had to undergo two surgeries.
Fans were expecting him to face Swerve Strickland at AEW World’s End 2023. However, it was announced that Lee wasn’t cleared to compete. Lee later revealed that he had been working through an injury since September 2022.
On October 20, 2024, Lee posted an update on Twitter, thanking his supporters and assuring them that he isn’t done yet. He encouraged them to hang in there, just as he is, and promised that the time for his return will come. He also reminded fans to go out and vote.
”I certainly don’t see them all, but I have seen many. I must take the time to say thank you. And I must take the time to tell you…. we are not done. Hang in there, just like I am. Whatever it is…. the time will come. Let’s move forward. Oh. And don’t forget to go vote.”
It was previously reported that Keith Lee is still not ready to return to the ring after being sidelined for nine months. We will have to wait and see when Keith Lee will make his return to AEW television, as fans are hoping each and every single day he will come back healthier and stronger than ever before.
