Since its launch in 2019, AEW has experienced significant growth and success. However, since the All Out event in 2021, things have started to slow down. Like any organization, AEW faces challenges, one of which is difficulty in selling tickets for their live events.

AEW recorded the highly anticipated October 19th edition of AEW Collision from the Adventist Health Arena in Stockton, California, on October 17th. You may check out the spoiler results here.

The Adventist Health Arena has a capacity of 12,000 but AEW Collision was set up for 2,614 tickets and they managed to sell 2,285 as per WrestleTix. A less-than-favorable set of image of the show has now surfaced, showing a significant number of empty seats during Ricochet’s segment. This visual certainly doesn’t help the company’s image, reflecting ongoing challenges with audience attendance.

Some critics argue that AEW’s decision to book oversized venues has resulted in unflattering visuals, particularly with empty seats, raising concerns about ticket sales. Despite these challenges, there is hope that AEW can bounce back and recapture its earlier momentum and success.

However, there is growing concern that AEW’s current attendance figures could resemble the decline seen in WCW in 2000, leading to worries about the company’s future direction. Only time will tell if AEW can successfully tackle these issues, especially given the recent improvements in their product.
