Storm was originally set to face La Catalina on the October 11 edition of CMLL’s “Viernes Espectacular.” However, the match was delayed due to the effects of Hurricane Milton, but she finally faced La Catalina during this week’s show and made her CMLL in-ring debut.

On Friday, October 18, 2024, CMLL hosted “Viernes Espectacular” at the iconic Arena Mexico in Mexico City. The event featured a double main event, with Toni Storm making her CMLL debut against La Catalina, the winner of the 2023 CMLL Women’s Universal Championship Tournament.

In a highly energetic match between the former three-time AEW Women’s World Champion and “La Diva del Ring,” Catalina secured the victory by hitting a diving splash on Storm. This marked Storm’s first-ever match in Mexico and her debut in CMLL. After the bout, Storm addressed the crowd, promising to return to Arena Mexico in the near future.

Storm, who previously competed in STARDOM, unsuccessfully challenged Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women’s Championship at STARDOM’s Nagoya Golden Fight event on October 5. Her last AEW appearance was at All In on August 25, 2024, where she lost the AEW Women’s World Title to Mariah May. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for Toni Storm.
