The relaunch of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, led by former TNA Wrestling President Scott D’Amore, is gaining momentum as it gears up for its major Forged In Excellence event and it appears an interesting name is backstage for the show.

The two-night showcase is set to take place on October 19 and October 20 at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and Scott D’Amore went through a lot of hurdles to make it a reality.

Ahead of night one of the two-night MLP: Forged In Excellence event at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, PWInsider has reported that former AEW creative team member Jimmy Jacobs was spotted at the show. When asked about Jimmy Jacobs’ role, an MLP source responded that his role was simply “being Jimmy.”

Jimmy Jacobs was a key figure behind the scenes in AEW and is no longer with the company. Therefore, we’ll have to see if he will do anything at the show or if he is simply there to attend the event. It is to be noted that there is a chance Jacobs could return to AEW in the future, so we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for the former AEW name.
