Michael Cole Confirms Signing ‘Long-Term’ Deal with WWE

Michael Cole has experienced many unique moments throughout his long career in WWE. He has earned significant respect for his dedication and years of service to the company. Recently, Cole confirmed that he has signed a long-term deal with WWE, securing his continued presence as one of the key voices in the organization.

Michael Cole has been a cornerstone of WWE’s commentary team since joining the company in 1997. He quickly rose to prominence, becoming the lead announcer by 1998, replacing Jim Ross on WWE Raw. When SmackDown launched in 1999, Cole became the voice of the blue brand, and his commentary has since become iconic among wrestling fans. Earlier this year, Cole secured his future with WWE by signing a new contract, though the exact length wasn’t revealed.

Michael Cole recently talked about his new long-term deal with WWE during an interview with Sal Licata of WFAN. Cole also confirmed that he will return to WWE Raw when it starts airing on Netflix in January. He is undoubtedly excited to continue working with WWE and feels he still has more to give.

“I still feel like I have a lot left in me. I just signed a long-term deal with the company, I’ll be doing this for a few more years. I’ll be back on Netflix doing Monday Night Raw in January.”

Right now, Cole is the main commentator for SmackDown, but he’ll switch to Raw next year. Joe Tessitore is currently doing commentary for Raw and has been getting rave reviews, so we’ll have to see how Cole will fare once again as the lead commentator on RAW next year.
