WWE’s relationship with Netflix continues to grow, with new developments making waves in the sports entertainment world. Starting in January 2025, WWE’s flagship program, Monday Night Raw, will officially move from the USA Network to Netflix as part of a monumental 10-year deal worth over $5 billion—valued at more than $500 million per year.
The move to Netflix solidifies the streaming service as WWE’s new home, further expanding WWE’s reach. WWE initially considered airing NXT on Netflix, but those plans shifted in favor of the Raw deal. This follows the recent release of Netflix’s six-part Mr. McMahon docuseries, which offered fans an in-depth look at Vince McMahon’s controversial career.
In addition to Raw, WWE fans outside the U.S. already enjoy access to NXT, SmackDown, and WWE’s Premium Live Events on the streaming platform. The move opens new doors for even more content, with WWE President Nick Khan hinting at what’s to come.
Speaking at the University of Southern California’s Next Level Sports conference, Khan announced that WWE and Netflix are developing a new behind-the-scenes documentary. While the release date for the documentary remains unknown, fans can expect it to provide a unique glimpse into the inner workings of WWE’s operations and stories beyond the ring.
As WWE continues its Netflix expansion, the company is reshaping how wrestling is consumed in the streaming age.
