TNA Wrestling has gone through numerous changes after going back to its roots from the Hard to Kill pay-per-view back in January. However, not everyone can remain with the company and it appears a TNA star has been granted their release from the company.

According to Fightful, Jai Vidal is now a free agent after being granted his release from the company. Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select reported that Vidal requested and was granted his release recently.

Vidal had signed a multi-year contract with TNA in late 2022, but it’s unclear how much time was left on the deal. The 27-year-old last wrestled for TNA in August during an Ultimate X qualifying match, having only competed in four matches this year and securing just one win.

Vidal, who has also wrestled for GCW, expressed frustration with the creative direction in TNA. He gained attention for being the first openly gay wrestler in TNA but shared that he felt the company didn’t fully reciprocate his emphasis on representation. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for Vidal, as TNA is no longer his home.
