AEW’s roster is full of talented wrestlers, but not all of them appear regularly on TV. Riho, a former AEW Women’s Champion, recently made her return to the company. Unfortunately, her comeback was cut short due to an injury. She has now confirmed her current health status, providing an update on her recovery.
Riho returned to AEW on Collision earlier this year, where she faced off against Serena Deeb, signaling the start of a new rivalry. This marked her first time back since her appearance on AEW Dynamite back in March.
Sadly, during her match on the July 6th episode of Collision, Riho sustained an injury. While there was little information at first, Riho confirmed that she had suffered a fractured arm injury.
Riho took to her blog and shared an update on her recovery after suffering a fractured arm in early July. She mentioned that although her bone has fully healed, she’s still experiencing some stiffness, but expects it to improve with time. While she’s been undergoing physical therapy and hitting the gym in Japan, she hasn’t been able to return to the U.S. yet due to visa issues.
”I’ve been craving McDonald’s chocolate triangle pie, but I haven’t had it yet.
I love walking, so I can do it without any stress, and I wish it would last forever. Now to the main topic! I broke my arm at the beginning of July and it’s been 3 months. I’m sure you’re all thinking, “Why aren’t you coming back?I am writing this blog with the thought that you are all thinking, “Why aren’t you coming back?
As it turns out, my VISA has been renewed and I am still unable to go to the U.S.The bone has healed completely! Although there is still some slowness in movement, I think it will get better in a little while. So now I spend my days in Japan going to physical therapy and going to the gym. Yesterday, I went to a cat shelter with a friend, and the other day we went to Disney.I am enjoying myself quite a bit.”
While it is certainly great to know that Riho’s bone has healed completely, it’s simply unfortunate that visa issues are preventing her from returning to the USA. Nonetheless, we’ll have to wait and see when she will return to AEW television again, as fans certainly miss her.
