WWE has gone through a lot of changes after Vince McMahon left the company and Triple H took over and this included numerous changes to the Creative team. In fact, WWE is now hiring more members for their Creative department.

WWE is looking to hire new members for its creative team. They recently posted a job on LinkedIn that explains what the role involves. WWE creates original programming year-round for its popular shows, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown. These shows mix action, drama, reality, comedy, and adventure. The creative team aims to tell exciting stories with diverse and charismatic characters, both on TV and off.

The main responsibilities of this job include developing strong and interesting characters for WWE talent. Candidates will need to write engaging storylines for Raw, SmackDown, and some WWE Network shows available on Peacock. They will also work with other writers to create stories that appeal to a global audience. The role involves improving specific scripted segments and checking entire episodes for consistency and flow. Using insights from fans and social media to create meaningful storylines that fit WWE’s brand and the talents’ backgrounds is important. Weekly travel to WWE shows (Raw or SmackDown) and occasional travel to Premium Live Events is required, along with joining weekly creative meetings at WWE’s office in Stamford, Connecticut.

To apply for this position, candidates should have more than five years of writing experience in TV or film. Experience in producing and directing is a plus, and having a background in professional TV or film is preferred. Candidates should also have experience working with on-screen talent and creative teams. Understanding WWE’s audience is helpful. A degree in Film, TV, Drama, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience can also be considered. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether they will end up hiring more in the end, as the company continues to expand in a big way.
