The announcement that Monday Night RAW is moving to Netflix has sparked major discussion within the pro wrestling community. This move to a streaming platform could lead to significant changes in the show’s format and availability. In fact, it seems Netflix is already making preparations for NXT’s shift to the platform internationally.
It was reported that WWE and Netflix confirmed their huge deal to move Monday Night RAW to the streaming service, which will begin in January 2025. The reported deal, valued at over $5 billion for a duration of ten years.
It is to be noted that WWE programming will be shifting internationally to Netflix as well next year. SmackDown will debut on Netflix on January 4, 2025, RAW will follow on January 7 and NXT will make its transition on January 8, 2025.
As seen by images making rounds online, Netflix is already gearing up for NXT transitioning to the streaming platform next year, as fans have revealed that there is already a “Coming Soon” page on Netflix in the United Kingdom. Ethan Page, Trick Williams, Lola Vice and Roxanne Perez are featured in the section as well.
Triple H has expressed confidence that fans will smoothly transition to Netflix without any issues. Therefore, we will have to wait and see just how successful WWE programming will be once it shifts to Netflix next year, as a new era of WWE will begin in 2025.
