Lio Rush, who rejoined the AEW family after a previous departure, has been a staple of the company and consistently performed at a very high level. That was the case during AEW Dynamite this week and he seemingly hinted at joining the Hurt Syndicate after Dynamite this week.
On the October 16 episode of AEW Dynamite, MVP and Shelton Benjamin appeared. MVP offered his card to The Acclaimed, but they didn’t seem interested in teaming up with the former Hurt Business leader.
Shelton Benjamin had his first match in AEW against Lio Rush, another former WWE star. It was an impressive debut for Benjamin, though Rush put up a strong fight despite being smaller. Rush managed to land some good moves, like a tornado DDT, but Shelton Benjamin ultimately won the match.
Benjamin hit a big suplex on Rush, followed by an exploder powerslam, securing a clean victory. After the match, MVP left his business card for Lio Rush and fans wondered what Rush would do. As it turns out, Lio Rush took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of himself with the business card, as he seemingly hinted at joining the Hurt Syndicate.
We will have to wait and see whether Lio Rush will end up becoming a member of the Hurt Syndicate, as fans would love to see that happen. After all, Rush has history with them as well as Bobby Lashley, who will eventually debut in AEW as well.
