Karrion Kross Sets the Record Straight on Going Back to Shaved Head Look

Karrion Kross, recognized for his intense persona and dominant wrestling style, has been prominently featured on WWE television as part of his Final Testament faction. However, he initially made a major impact during his run in NXT in the early 2020s, where he ruled the scene. In fact, Kross has now addressed his decision to return to his signature shaved-head look.

Karrion Kross recently talked about the possibility of returning to his previous WWE look, which featured a shaved head, during an appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet. In his first run with WWE, particularly as NXT Champion, Kross was known for his shaved head and dominant in-ring presence and fans loved his look.

However, Kross now sports longer hair and looks noticeably different from his earlier WWE days. He mentioned that while he’s open to shaving his head again, it would need to be part of a storyline that justifies the change. Kross explained that making the switch without a purpose would feel like a missed opportunity. He noted that during his first run, he was unstoppable, decimating opponents, which suited the look at the time.

Kross emphasized that simply shaving his head now wouldn’t have the same impact unless tied to a compelling narrative, stating that fans might only see it as a superficial change without proper context.

“I’ve considered buzzing my head, shaving my head, doing all that stuff. But we would need a story, in my opinion, that supports it. It’s a throwaway to do it for no reason.

“Because what a lot of people – it’s an underlying subconscious thing – what they don’t necessarily realize is what I was doing in the show at that time was just running through people. I was showing up and just decimating everybody.

“So the run that I had at that time that was delegated to me for the purpose of the show, if I had had long hair at that time and I had a shaved head now, people would be like, ‘He needs to grow his hair long and do that again’.

“Like if I was to just show up and shave my head, and I’ve been doing what I’ve been doing, people would feel like, ‘Oh’. I think it would become more evident, you know?”

Karrion Kross was even urged to go back to his shaved head look last year. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see whether the Harbinger of Doom will end up shaving his head again in the future, as fans would most certainly love for that to happen.
