WWE is a major wrestling player and has solid connections with prominent sports leagues like the NFL, NHL, and NBA. The Royal Rumble 2025 is highly anticipated for good reasons, and there has been clarification regarding its start time.
As reported earlier, WWE announced plans to launch its groundbreaking partnership with Indiana Sports Corp, starting with the Royal Rumble on February 1, 2025, hosted at Lucas Oil Stadium.
UFC is set to host its 250th Fight Night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the same day as the 2025 Royal Rumble. This has surprised some fans, considering both UFC and WWE are now part of TKO Group Holdings. However, it appears there is a belief that the two audiences don’t overlap as much as expected, which likely explains why there’s no concern about both events happening on the same night.
On WrestleVotes Radio’s Backstage Pass, hosts JoeyVotes and TC addressed rumors about WWE starting the Royal Rumble earlier to avoid a conflict with the UFC show, which is what happened for the Bad Blood Premium Live Event. They confirmed that the Royal Rumble will begin at its scheduled time of 7 p.m. EST.
Interestingly enough, Joe Hendry has also teased making an appearance at the Royal Rumble next year. Nevertheless, the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event is certain to be a memorable event from start to finish, so we’ll have to see how WWE will book the event in the end.
