Jinder Mahal, who gained a lot of attention earlier this year with his WWE World Heavyweight Title match on RAW, didn’t win the championship and was later released from WWE. With that said, it appears he has doubts about retiring in WWE as well.

The former WWE Superstar has been actively wrestling on the independent scene, taking part in events for promotions like GCW, Black Label Pro, and AAA, as it’s clear he is making his mark in the business.

In a conversation with PWInsider Elite before his match at Maple Leaf Pro, Jinder Mahal stated that he believes his wrestling career will likely end on the independent circuit, though not in the near future. He reflected on how he started in the independents and expects to finish there.

“I started from the independents and I’ll probably finish my career, whenever that is, not anytime soon, on the independents.”

Mahal’s last WWE appearance was in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, held the night before WrestleMania 40. Nonetheless, Mahal is more than happy with his current run in the independent circuit and that’s all that matters to him.
