The Rock returned at the end of the Bad Blood Premium Live Event and fans were convinced WWE had massive plans for The Great One heading into 2025. There has been a lot of speculation concerning his status for WrestleMania 41 and now we have some clarification in that regard.
Not long after making his return, The Rock posted a video on Instagram, delivering a passionate promo about the current state of WWE. In the clip, he teased significant changes on the horizon and threw some sharp remarks at both Cody Rhodes and John Cena, fueling excitement and speculation around his comeback even further.
The Rock would then shut down rumors that he wouldn’t be a part of WrestleMania 41, bringing relief to fans. Fans are still eagerly waiting to see if The Rock will appear during the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania season, though he’s kept any potential plans under wraps. Dave Meltzer reported that as of last Thursday, The Rock hadn’t been officially confirmed for the event. However, the decision ultimately rests with him, and WWE is aiming to have everything settled by the time the Royal Rumble approaches to ensure they can move forward with their plans. The situation remained unclear, and any confirmation could come at any time.
“I know he was not confirmed for the show as of Thursday, so if something changed, I’ll find out. If he wants to do it, he’s doing it. It’s up to him obviously. As long as it’s confirmed by when it needs to be confirmed, it could be confirmed at any time. they want to know going into the Royal Rumble where they are going and at that point, we’ll see. But yeah, that’s the deal.”
It was also reported that a triple threat match involving Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and The Rock could happen at WrestleMania 41. During a live Q&A on Backstage Pass with Bill Apter and WrestleVotes, host Joe Lowry asked for an update on a WWE legend’s involvement at WrestleMania 41.
According to Joe from WrestleVotes, the current plan is for a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania 41 featuring Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Rock, as he doubled down on his previous report. He mentioned that all three are on board with the idea, and it could be the main event of WrestleMania Sunday next year.
It’s still uncertain if The Rock will actually face Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41, as plans can change at any time before the big event. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see what WWE will ultimately decide for The Rock at the Showcase of the Immortals.
Do you believe a triple threat match featuring The Rock would be the best decision for WrestleMania 41’s main event?
