Since its debut in 2019, AEW has made major improvements in many areas, especially after landing a new multi-year media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. With this big deal in place, it appears that AEW plans to focus on international growth in 2025.
The agreement between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery is set to generate $180 million in 2025, followed by $185 million in 2026 and $190 million in 2027. There is also an option for Warner Bros. Discovery to extend the contract through 2028, potentially increasing the total amount even more.
That’s not all as AEW secured a multi-regional broadcast rights agreement with Fox Sports Mexico. This long-term deal will allow Fox Sports Mexico to broadcast all of AEW’s shows and special events, enhancing AEW’s visibility in the Latin American market. This partnership is considered a significant step for AEW as it aims to establish a strong presence in the region.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, AEW is guaranteed to be very profitable for the next three years. There is no pressure to break profit records, and the company plans to increase spending in certain areas due to an additional $95 million in TV revenue. One of Tony Khan’s main priorities for 2025 is to invest profits in expanding internationally.

There is no pressure to set profit records, and it was confirmed they will increase spending in certain areas with the added $95 million in TV revenue. One area Tony Khan specified was that one of the main priorities in 2025 would be investing profits into international growth.”
AEW is firing on all cylinders right now and the company is more than determined to ensure that 2025 will turn out to be AEW’s best year yet, so we will have to wait and see whether the company will be able to expand in various international markets next year.
