AEW and ROH wrestler Anthony Henry has shared an update following surgery for a torn bicep, which he suffered during a match against NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd at the October 3 ROH TV taping.
Henry, who has been an active competitor on both AEW and ROH programming, took to social media to confirm that his surgery was a success. Posting a photo of himself in an arm brace, he expressed optimism about his recovery, writing: “Surgery was successful. Now time to recover.”
In an update, Ringside News has confirmed that Henry is expected to be sidelined for around 7 to 8 months as he recovers from the injury. A torn bicep typically requires a long rehabilitation process, depending on the severity of the tear and how well the healing progresses post-surgery. For athletes like Henry, who rely heavily on upper body strength and flexibility, this recovery period is crucial to ensure a full and safe return to the ring.
Henry had only recently returned to action in May after recovering from a broken jaw, and his latest setback comes just after a string of matches on both AEW Collision and ROH TV. His most recent AEW appearance was on the September 14 episode of Collision, where he faced Wheeler Yuta.
With Henry’s recovery journey just beginning, fans and colleagues alike are wishing him a safe and speedy recovery.
