Jimmy Jacobs made a shocking return to the independent wrestling scene on October 12 at XICW Detroit, where he played a pivotal role in helping Adam Wick capture the Midwest Championship.

Jacobs made his surprise appearance by attacking MM3 with a chair, ensuring Wick’s victory in the title bout. The match also featured Trey Miguel, adding further star power to the event.

This marked Jacobs’ first appearance since his recent departure from AEW, where he had been working closely with Tony Khan on creative. Jacobs resigned from AEW just days before his XICW appearance, with reports stating that the split was amicable.
