Jey Uso recently opened up about one of the most iconic moments in his career, revealing that it was both one of his proudest and most embarrassing experiences. The current WWE Intercontinental Champion spoke to METRO about the now-legendary segment where Sami Zayn famously said Jey Uso wasn’t “feeling very Ucey,” which caused Jey to break character and smile despite the serious tone of the segment.

The segment, which involved Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn, quickly became a fan favorite due to its unexpected humor, with even Reigns himself joining in on the laughter. Jey, however, remembers the moment with mixed emotions:

“The Ucey segment, it’s probably one of the dopest, fun and coolest segments on TV, but it was also the most embarrassing for me, because I was just stuck laughing on TV,” Jey admitted.

He continued, “There was a couple of times I just had to turn away from the camera, like I had to because I just had a big smile, man. If you really look at it, Roman [Reigns] was trying to poke at me, to crack me more.”

The segment wasn’t initially supposed to be comedic. In fact, Jey recalled that it started as a heavy promo with Zayn, before unexpectedly evolving into the hilarious moment fans remember so fondly. “We gave everyone every feeling in that segment. It was just the best! I don’t think that’ll ever, ever, ever, ever be replicated again.”

Despite the humorous moment, Jey noted that working with his brothers and other family members in the Bloodline storyline remains one of the highlights of his career. Although he’s now flying solo on Monday Night Raw as the Intercontinental Champion, his presence is still felt across both brands.
