The Undertaker Believes Match with Brock Lesnar Would Propel GUNTHER to Another Level

Brock Lesnar has been missing from WWE TV since his match against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023. His return doesn’t seem likely right now, due to his connection with Vince McMahon’s legal issues. Meanwhile, The Undertaker believes that a match with Lesnar would help elevate GUNTHER to the next level in his career.

GUNTHER and Brock Lesnar had a brief encounter at the Royal Rumble last year, giving fans a taste of their potential matchup. GUNTHER mentioned that this face-off confirmed the WWE Universe’s interest in seeing the two clash in a full match.

However, WWE had been phasing Brock Lesnar out of upcoming events. They had already canceled his planned return for the Royal Rumble and put any creative plans involving him on hold for the foreseeable future.

While speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker shared his thoughts on a potential match between Brock Lesnar and GUNTHER, stating that it would elevate GUNTHER to an even higher level. He believes Brock could push GUNTHER to new heights, making him nearly unstoppable. The Undertaker praised GUNTHER’s unique style and pace but noted that facing a powerhouse like Brock Lesnar would challenge him in ways that no one else on the current roster could.

“Yep, it would propel Gunther to even another level to work a program with Brock. To the heights that I think Brock could bring him to would be — make him untouchable. Because he already has — he has his own style, he has his own pace, and everything else. But to work with somebody a beast like Brock would push him to levels that I’m not sure there’s anybody on the roster right now that does that.”

Triple H had made it clear he is open to bringing back Brock Lesnar, but legal hurdles are currently preventing Brock Lesnar from returning to WWE television. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see whether Lesnar and GUNTHER will ever square off against each other somewhere down the line, as GUNTHER hasn’t lost hope about the match just yet.
