WWE fans in Cardiff, Wales were treated to a shocker tonight as Randy Orton joined forces with the fan-favorite tag team DIY during a WWE live event. This intriguing new combination comes on the heels of last week’s chaotic episode of SmackDown, where more questions were raised than answered.

During the latest SmackDown broadcast, Kevin Owens stirred things up by confronting Cody Rhodes about their brawl at Bad Blood and later attacking Orton backstage. Owens appears to be done with Orton, but “The Viper” isn’t quite ready to close the book on his feud with The Bloodline.

With Owens seemingly out of the picture, Orton found unlikely allies in DIY. The trio took on Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu—three powerhouse members of The Bloodline—during tonight’s six-man tag match in Cardiff. DIY has had their own issues with Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga, who have been a thorn in their side in the battle for the WWE Tag Team Championships, making this alliance with Orton even more intriguing.

While it’s uncertain if this trio will become a regular fixture on TV, Orton may need the support of DIY to continue his battle against The Bloodline, especially with Kevin Owens seemingly turning his back on him.

Fans will have to stay tuned to see if Orton and DIY will officially team up on-screen as this rivalry with The Bloodline intensifies. With the current WWE UK tour underway, the upcoming October 14 episode of WWE Raw will feature pre-taped matches and segments from last week’s show.
