AEW Rampage is officially being removed from television as part of AEW’s new deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, which will now focus on their main shows, Dynamite and Collision. Since its debut on August 13, 2021, Rampage had its highlights, but with declining viewership and a change in strategy, Warner Bros. Discovery has decided to cut the show from its programming lineup.

AEW’s new multi-year deal with Warner Bros. Discovery ensures that Dynamite and Collision will continue to air on their networks. However, AEW Rampage, which has faced declining ratings, is not part of the new agreement. Notably, TruTv and Rampage were missing from the official announcement, and AEW has confirmed that Rampage will air its final episode by the end of 2024.

While speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided updates on the future of AEW Rampage and Battle of the Belts. According to him, these shows are not part of AEW’s new media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, and Rampage may not remain on the air much longer.

Dave Meltzer mentioned that while AEW is open to shopping these shows around to other networks, Rampage could only last a few more weeks or possibly until the end of the year.

“As far as will there be Battle of the Belts, will there be Rampage? That is not in this deal. They are open to shop this stuff around. Rampage may not be going much longer. Not sure, the date could be just a couple more weeks or it could be at the end of the year.”

The drop in viewership for Rampage was a key factor in its cancellation. AEW is now focusing on improving Dynamite and Collision, which will be the main shows under the new Warner Bros. Discovery deal. As AEW heads into 2025 with new projects and growth opportunities, fans will say goodbye to Rampage, a show that had its moment but couldn’t align with the company’s future goals. Despite this change, AEW remains determined to expand its brand with big plans ahead and that’s all that matters in the end.
