Adam Cole’s In-Ring Future After AEW WrestleDream Return

Adam Cole’s ankle injury, which he suffered at AEW Grand Slam last year and involved fractures in three different areas, had a major impact on his wrestling career. However, he made his return at WrestleDream this week, and details about his in-ring future have now been revealed.

Most recently, during AEW Double or Nothing in May, Cole delivered a promo that set the stage for MJF’s return from injury. This confrontation escalated, leading to MJF brutally attacking Cole in the ring and writing him off television, as fans felt MJF’s feud with Cole was over.

During the WrestleDream pay-per-view, Daniel Garcia ran in to stop Jack Perry from attacking Katsuyori Shibata after their TNT Title match, but then MJF unexpectedly returned and interrupted Garcia. MJF mentioned that while he was away, he had been making movies and a lot of money. He also said he got his Dynamite Diamond ring back from the pawn shop where Daniel had sold it.

As MJF was about to hit Garcia with the ring, Adam Cole made his shocking return as well. Although Cole didn’t fight, just his presence was enough to make MJF back away. Fans noticed he was running without any issues and wasn’t sporting any boot on his foot, as they felt perhaps Cole was ready to compete again.

According to a report by Fightful Select, Adam Cole has officially been cleared to return to the ring. Naturally, this is big news for fans of Cole, who hasn’t competed inside the squared circle for a long time now.
