AEW has a history of surprising fans by bringing in former WWE Superstars, and WrestleDream 2024 continued that trend. During the Zero-Hour kickoff show, a familiar face from WWE appeared, one that fans likely didn’t expect to see in Tony Khan’s promotion.

Rico, who was formerly known as Rico Constanino in WWE, was revealed as the third man for MxM Collection at WrestleDream. He joined the team in their match against The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn, as they aimed to end scissoring forever.

Max Caster’s rap about the new MxM Collection lineup included sus lines about Diddy and Kamala Harris as well. Then Daddy Ass made a quip about how Rico tried to convince him to marry another guy, before apologizing to Anthony Bowens, and then he promised to leave Rico in the same hole that MxM Collection found him in.

Rico and Billy Gunn share a history from their WWE days, where Rico served as the stylist for Gunn and Chuck Palumbo during their tag team partnership. While it’s uncertain what role Rico will play moving forward, it’s clear he’s embracing his WWE persona, as he referenced his former entrance theme by saying, “You look so good to me.”

Rico’s presence alongside MXM Collection was felt as they made their way to the ring later during the Zero-Hour show. Whether he will become a regular in AEW or ROH remains to be seen, but his debut at WrestleDream in Tacoma certainly caught the audience’s attention. You can check out the video below of Rico’s appearance.
