Cody Rhodes has an extraordinary ability to connect with fans, which has been crucial in his rise to becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion. That is why it comes as no surprise that The American Nightmare gave a young fan a special gift after this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

During the October 11 SmackDown, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens’ relationship soured in a big way as Owens claimed it was Cody Rhodes who betrayed him, following Owens’ attack on Rhodes at a parking lot in Atlanta.

Even Randy Orton and Kevin Owens got physical during the show, as things have simply become far too chaotic for everyone to handle. Following the conclusion of Friday Night SmackDown, Cody Rhodes squared off against Dominik Mysterio in singles competition.

The American Nightmare would ultimately pick up the win against The Judgment Day member. Afterwards, Cody Rhodes brought in a young fan from the audience, who was decked out in Cody Rhodes’ gear. Rhodes gave the fan a signed weight belt before hugging the fan and picking him up on his shoulders, making it clear that the fan will remember this moment for a long time.
