AEW WrestleDream, the company’s upcoming major pay-per-view, is set to be an event fans won’t want to miss. AEW is working hard to make sure the show features thrilling matches and a lineup that will entertain fans.
Mark Briscoe is set to defend his ROH World Championship against Chris Jericho in a singles match at WrestleDream. Their feud has been developing for a while now and Jericho made it personal by bringing up Mark Briscoe’s brother Jay Briscoe. Fans are excited to see who will come out on top in the bout.
Darby Allin will face Brody King in a singles match in what is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated matches on the card. The two each have a win over the other and it’s guaranteed to be a violent affair once the match begins, so fans want to know who’ll be victorious when all is said and done.
Will Ospreay will defend his AEW International Championship in a three-way match against Ricochet and Konosuke Takeshita. This match came about after Konosuke Takeshita laid out Ospreay and Ricochet during their title match on the 5-year Anniversary of AEW Dynamite. The bout has the potential to be the match of the night, so we’ll have to see if Ospreay will be able to retain his title.
Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Private Party’s Zay and Quen. The two have a lot of history together and there is no doubt the match will surpass all expectations considering just how talented all four competitors are.
Jack Perry will defend the AEW TNT Championship against Katsuyori Shibata in a singles match and this was set up during the 5-year anniversary of AEW Dynamite. Shibata has been feuding with Perry for a while and it will finally culminate at WrestleDream.
Mariah May will defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against the former TBS Champion Willow Nightingale in a singles match. Nightingale received this huge opportunity after she outlasted three other competitors during a recent episode of Dynamite. Considering the in-ring skill of both talent, the women’s match is sure to deliver in a big way.
Swerve Strickland has been absent from AEW television since All Out but will be making his triumphant return during the WrestleDream pay-per-view. Strickland has already teased making changes as part of his return, so we’ll have to see what he will do at the show. After all, MVP has made it clear he wants to work with Swerve Strickland and feels he is a better fit than Prince Nana.
Bryan Danielson will defend the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley in the main event of the show. Their feud has been building up since AEW All Out, where Moxley choked Danielson out with a plastic bag and changed The Blackpool Combat Club. If Danielson loses the title, it will mark the end of his career, so the stakes couldn’t be higher for this highly anticipated match.
That’s not all the action fans can look forward to as Hologram will compete against The Beast Mortos in a two out of three falls match, Adam Page will be facing off against a returning Jay White in singles competition, MxM Collection will duke it out with The Acclaimed and Atlantis Jr. will defend the ROH World Television Championship against Brian Cage.
