High-Profile Match Not Taking Place at WWE Crown Jewel

After Bron Breakker lost the Intercontinental Championship to Jey Uso, many fans speculated that Breakker was heading for a babyface turn. However, Breakker shocked everyone on the October 7th, 2024 edition of WWE RAW, when he attacked Jey Uso, setting up a highly anticipated rematch. According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observe Newsletter, the rematch will not take place at Crown Jewel as some expected, but rather during an upcoming episode of RAW.

Meltzer reported that while Crown Jewel is shaping up to be a major event, WWE is pushing Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed and Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker for future dates. Regarding the plans for Crown Jewel, Meltzer stated:

“On Raw, the two matches they were directly pushing were Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed and Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker. At press time, neither were listed for this show, but we were told Rollins vs. Reed was possible for the show, the term used being no right now but they suspect that will change, and Uso vs. Breakker has a different date scheduled right now.”

Ibou of WrestlePurists.com confirmed that the Bron Breakker vs. Jey Uso rematch will headline RAW in a few weeks rather than taking place at Crown Jewel. This shift allows WWE to build towards another highly anticipated match at Survivor Series: War Games, where it is rumored that Jey Uso could end up on Roman Reigns’ team, setting up a potential Bloodline vs. Bloodline clash.

Fans will have to wait a little longer to see the next chapter in the rivalry between Breakker and Uso, but with Survivor Series on the horizon, it’s clear that tensions within the Bloodline will continue to escalate.
