WWE brought their October 11 SmackDown to Greenville, South Carolina, and that state is known for their great wrestling history. The blue brand brought a stellar show to the USA Network as well
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill rubbed Meta-Four the wrong way during their appearance during the October 8 NXT from Saint Louis. This resulted in a challenge for a title match, but they didn’t hold that contest on NXT.
“The EST Of WWE” Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defended their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson of Meta-Four. This match was interrupted by Kevin Owens inserting his brand of chaos, but they continued with the plan as soon as the melee was over.
Trick Williams was shown at ringside watching this match, as he is dating Lash Legend. The two teams brought it, as Chelsea Green and Piper Niven were also at ringside. It didn’t take much for those two to get involved in the match.
After a bit of chaos, Cargill and Belair were able to nail their double team finisher and win the match. This was a short contest, as Cargill and Belair were able to retain their titles. Fans were not happy at all about this match only getting two minutes.
Many fans took to Twitter to express how upset they were over the short match. The two minutes that this women’s tag team title match got was not what they wanted to see at all. Many wanted to see a chance for those four to really get a chance to perform.
Although this may not have been a fast match, it was still a good showing for Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend. Those two have a lot of big matches in their future, and this week’s SmackDown gave them a great opportunity to perform on a much larger stage. We will have to see who Cargill and Belair defend their titles against next, but their story with the girls of Meta-Four may not be 100% finished.
