Matt Cardona, previously known as Zack Ryder in WWE, never quite reached his full potential before being released in 2020. He is a big star in the indies but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t keep tabs on what goes on in WWE, especially NXT. In fact, he has now parodied a fan incident, where the fan allegedly took photos of wrestlers’ feet at an NXT hotel.
In the four years since his WWE release, Matt Cardona has found renewed success on the independent circuit, earning the nickname “Indy God” for his achievements in various independent wrestling promotions.
As previously reported, following the October 8th episode of NXT, there was an unfortunate incident involving a fan at the NXT hotel following the show. It was noted that a man was caught attempting to take photos of female wrestlers’ feet as they walked through the hotel. This inappropriate behavior led to him being removed from the premises not once, but twice.
Matt Cardona took to Twitter and parodied the report of the foot fetishist at the NXT hotel, as he claimed that there was an incident at his residence in Orlando, Florida. According to him, a man was caught trying to take photos of female talent’s feet, as well as a dog, while they were in the living room. The individual was removed from the house not once, but twice due to his behavior. The man in question was Cardona and female was his wife Chelsea Green. In fact, he uploaded a photo of her feet as well, as it was clear Cardona was making fun of the incident.

While Matt Cardona was clearly having fun with his post, some fans may feel it was made in very poor taste as quite a few NXT women likely felt violated by the fan incident this week. Regardless, Cardona will continue to do what he wants to and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
