WWE Postpones Multiple NXT Live Events

The WWE NXT crew has been significantly impacted by Hurricane Milton, causing major disruptions in Florida.

After hosting their weekly TV show in St. Louis, the NXT talent found themselves stranded due to the Orlando International Airport being shut down. This storm follows closely after Hurricane Helene, which left devastating damage across multiple states, including Florida.

Hurricane Milton is expected to hit the west coast of Florida with winds reaching up to 165 mph. President Joe Biden emphasized the gravity of the situation, urging people in Florida to evacuate, stating that it was a matter of “life and death.” The severity of the storm has led to major travel disruptions, and many of the NXT stars are now stuck in St. Louis.

It was also reported earlier today that due to the airport closures, the NXT crew will remain in St. Louis for several days. The shutdown at Orlando International Airport is likely to persist as the storm continues to make its way across the state, affecting many events.

In response to these challenges, WWE has announced the postponement of two NXT live events originally scheduled for October 11 and October 12 in St. Petersburg and Orlando, respectively. The St. Petersburg event has been rescheduled for December 20, and the Orlando event will now take place on November 2.
