After being out of action since his loss to Hangman Page at AEW All Out, Swerve Strickland is set to make his highly anticipated return at AEW WrestleDream on October 12. This will be Swerve’s first on-screen appearance since Page knocked him out during their brutal Lights Out Steel Cage match.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting Strickland’s return, especially after recent developments involving MVP and Shelton Benjamin. During his absence, MVP criticized Strickland’s manager, Prince Nana, for failing to guide Swerve properly and expressed interest in managing the star himself. This led to speculation about a potential change in alliances as Strickland prepares for his comeback.

Swerve recently appeared on No Contest Wrestling with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Jefferson, where he discussed his return to AEW and hinted at the many unresolved issues and opportunities on his mind.

“There’s a lot in the past I can address. The last time y’all saw me, I was completely knocked out by Hangman Page in a cage match. Got a lot of people talking for a whole month. I wasn’t even on camera,” Strickland shared.

Swerve also addressed the future, stating: “Maybe the people are so enthralled and emotionally connected to me that I don’t even have to say much; I let the people say it. There’s a lot to say to Nana because there are a lot of business things that went awry with my presence being gone. I haven’t been cleared for a month now. There are things to address there.”

He continued, emphasizing his personal growth and the evolution that fans can expect from him: “You can always expect the next evolution of me with the subtleties. Maybe my hair is different. Maybe my look is different. Something is different. You’ll feel something different in the air. You don’t know what to expect, and that’s the beauty of it. Even Tony Khan doesn’t know what to expect. He trusts and knows I can make it happen.”

Swerve’s return to AEW comes on the heels of him finalizing a new deal with the company on October 7, ensuring his long-term presence in AEW.

With his AEW return looming, Swerve Strickland is ready to shake things up at AEW WrestleDream. From his mysterious business dealings with MVP and Prince Nana to the evolution he promises to bring, all eyes will be on Strickland when he steps back into the ring.
