On the October 8 episode of WWE NXT, fans were surprised when NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez entered the ring to talk about recent events in the women’s division. Confident as always, Roxanne said she was still the best and made fun of fans for always cheering for new challengers, calling them predictable.
Roxanne was soon joined by her former friend-turned-rival, Cora Jade, who returned to NXT after being away for nine months. Cora was frustrated about not being part of the conversation in the division and made it clear she was back with a strong attitude. The two women seemed to have fixed their friendship, with Cora even praising Roxanne’s fierce new side. Together, they announced their plan to take over the women’s division.
Just when it looked like Roxanne and Cora were united, Giulia made her way out and interrupted them. The biggest surprise came when Stephanie Vaquer made her NXT debut, shocking Perez and Jade. Known for her success in Mexico, Vaquer confidently joined Giulia in the ring. They attacked Roxanne and Cora, leaving them on the mat.
After the chaos, Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer picked up the NXT Women’s Championship, looking at each other as the crowd were incredibly excited about what this new alliance could mean for the division.
WWE NXT took to their official Instagram account and uploaded a video of Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez after the show. Perez and Jade were suffering from a meltdown, as Perez couldn’t believe Vaquer and Giulia embarrassed them like that. Perez then threw a tantrum after not being able to find her title before a ring member gave it to her. Perez and Jade screamed at the man before they both stormed off.
”Tonight did NOT go how @roxanne_wwe and @corajadewwe planned 😬 #WWENXT”
It remains to be seen how WWE will book Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez’s feud with Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia in the coming weeks, as the likely direction seems to be a tag team match at NXT Halloween Havoc this month.
