Former AEW Trios and TNT Champion Killswitch, who has been working alongside Christian Cage for several months, is dealing with a serious health issue. He was recently hospitalized for pneumonia, but it appears like he is making good progress in his recovery.
As reported earlier, Killswitch collapsed at home on Friday, September 27, and his fiancée rushed him to the hospital. When he arrived, doctors discovered that his blood oxygen levels had dropped below 80 percent, and he was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs. They noted that he was only a few days away from possibly suffering permanent lung damage.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that Luchasaurus was expected to be back in the gym on Monday. The 39-year-old is continuing to improve, making it clear he will be back to the ring as soon as possible.
“I heard he was supposed to like be back in the gym on Monday. So unless there was some turnaround I think he’s getting better.”
It was reported that Killswitch’s recovery is expected to take over a month, and while his return to the ring is still uncertain, doctors are optimistic that he should be able to compete again in the future.
Killswitch last competed in the Casino Gauntlet at AEW All In 2024, and fans are optimistic about his full recovery and return to the ring soon. In the meantime, everyone at Ringside News wishes Killswitch a speedy and complete recovery.
