WWE has numerous plans in the works, but sometimes delays occur for various reasons. It might be about finding the right moment to advance a storyline, or it could be waiting for a wrestler’s injury to heal.

Cora Jade made a dramatic return during the October 1 edition of NXT, which was the brand’s debut on The CW Network. The night opened with Giulia taking on Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship in front of an excited Chicago crowd. Just as Giulia seemed set for victory, a hooded figure stormed the ring, attacking her and allowing Perez to retain her title.

The mystery attacker turned out to be Cora Jade, returning after a long absence due to injury. Her comeback immediately stirred up tensions in the NXT Women’s Division, and plenty of memes, setting the stage for new rivalries as the brand enters a new era on The CW.

According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select, the reunion between Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez had been planned for some time. Before Jade’s ACL injury, WWE intended to bring the pair back together as a heel duo. Cora Jade got off to a good start by immediately calling out “Twitter Virgins” after her NXT debut.

On the October 8 episode of NXT at The Factory, Cora Jade joined Roxanne Perez in the ring for a promo, signaling their alliance but hinting at challenges ahead. Giulia then introduced Stephanie Vaquer to the NXT Universe, catching everyone by surprise. The segment ended dramatically when Perez and Jade exited, leaving the NXT Women’s Title in the ring, where Giulia and Vaquer both reached for it, which set the stage for a lot to come.

We will keep a close eye on this story, because it’s likely to be a very interesting time for the NXT Women’s Division, especially with Delta on the way as well. You can stay up to date by checking out our official Cora Jade news hub, or our Roxanne Perez news hub for more information.
