Bron Breakker’s impressive run as Intercontinental Champion came to an abrupt end last month after Jey Uso beat him for the title. Reports had suggested that he would become a babyface afterwards but the events of RAW said otherwise. With that said, WWE’s potential direction for Breakker after RAW this week has been revealed.

During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE is planning on turning Bron Breakker into a babyface following his loss to Jey Uso last month.

They are definitely building towards a Bron Breakker babyface turn. They are already doing a thing where they are trying to get the fans to bark. That’s a babyface move. So, they are already on the babyface track.”

That’s why many fans believed that Bron Breakker might team up with Jey Uso after they appeared to reconcile last week on Raw. However, this week took a different turn when Breakker attacked Uso after his victory over Xavier Woods during the October 7 WWE RAW. He also took down Kofi Kingston and Woods during the chaos, signifying that he was not a babyface.

On the recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Bron Breakker’s storyline and hinted at a shift in direction after last week’s hints of a face turn. Meltzer noted that this week’s Raw”suggested the face turn is on hold, with Breakker set to face Jey Uso again, likely for the Intercontinental Championship. While he couldn’t confirm it, Meltzer believes that a rematch between Breakker and Uso is expected at the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel event on November 2.

We will have to wait and see whether Bron Breakker will end up defeating Jey Uso at Crown Jewel on November 2nd and have a lengthier run with the Intercontinental Championship. After all, there are many directions WWE could go with the young Superstar now.
