The October 8th episode of WWE NXT is expected to be full of action, addressing the aftermath of last week’s events. However, the show might experience some changes due to Hurricane Milton, which is set to strike Florida soon.
The October 8 will be held at The Factory in Chesterfield, Missouri, which is part of the St. Louis market. The episode will have a lot of things to keep fans engaged, including Randy Orton’s return to the ring, as well as several championship matches and a special appearance by rapper Sexyy Red.
However, it is to be noted that Hurricane Milton is advancing through the Gulf of Mexico toward Florida and is being labeled as a highly dangerous storm that could impact a significant urban area. This follows just two weeks after Hurricane Helene caused extensive damage along the coastline. Initially classified as a Category 5 storm on Monday, Milton weakened to a Category 4 by Tuesday. Meteorologists from the National Hurricane Center predict that the storm will maintain its status as a major hurricane and could even increase in size as it approaches Florida.
In preparation, airlines are canceling flights and modifying schedules, with some airports in Florida getting ready for potential disruptions from the storm, which is projected to make landfall on Wednesday. The National Hurricane Center has also issued alerts about possible life-threatening storm surges and damaging winds affecting parts of Florida’s west coast beginning late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
According to a report from Fightful Select, it was noted that some changes might be necessary for this week’s episode of NXT because travel disruptions caused by Hurricane Milton.
For the record, this week’s episode of NXT will go as planned but the Superstars will have to remain in Missouri due to Hurricane Milton, as airports in Florida are shut down. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see what kind of changes WWE might be forced to make due to the hurricane for tonight’s show.
