WWE Bad Blood 2024 opened with an intense Hell in a Cell match, where CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre in a bloody and brutal battle. Following this victory, Punk opened the next episode of Monday Night RAW, announcing that he would be stepping away from the show for a while. With that said, new footage has emerged showing Punk struggling to make his way backstage after his segment.

CM Punk opened the October 7th episode of RAW but didn’t make it all the way to the ring. With a microphone in hand, he told the crowd how happy he was to be in Saint Louis, even though he was in a lot of pain. He admitted he couldn’t get in the ring and that smiling even hurt.

“It hurts to smile, but I had to come here and see you. I’m alive, but it doesn’t feel like it. I’m a winner, but it doesn’t feel like I won.”

Punk talked about the Hell in a Cell match, saying it left him with many unanswered questions. He shared that he was more beaten up than ever before and wasn’t sure what would happen next. He thanked his supporters—his fans, WWE coworkers, and even his critics, saying their hate pushed him to succeed and helped him make money.

Finally, CM Punk said he was going home to be with his wife, joking that he had a lot of flowers to buy. He ended by thanking the fans and said he didn’t know when he’d be back, but he appreciated them.

WWE took to their Instagram and uploaded a video of CM Punk after his segment on Monday Night RAW, which showed him being in pain and struggling to make his way to the back, as he was walking very slowly.

”Heal up @cmpunk, and we’ll see you back real soon! 🙌”

It is likely that The Second City Saint will not be returning to WWE television until the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event ends. The event will be taking place on November 2nd, so fans expect him to return right after that. We’ll have to wait and see what WWE will have planned for Punk, as it is likely he will feud with Seth Rollins upon his return.
