The October 1 episode of NXT marked a significant milestone as it debuted on the CW Network, offering fans a night filled with memorable moments. Following that success, NXT is looking to create a similar impact with the October 8 episode. This week, Triple H and Shawn Michaels have revived a classic DX skit for NXT, adding excitement to the upcoming show.

The October 8 will be held at The Factory in Chesterfield, Missouri, which is part of the St. Louis market. The episode promises to be packed with action, including Randy Orton’s return to the ring, as well as several championship matches and a special appearance by rapper Sexyy Red.

NXT took to Twitter and uploaded a video featuring Shawn Michaels and Triple H as they parodied their classic DX State of the Union speech. In the video, Shawn Michaels opened by addressing the audience and announcing that the CW is excited to present NXT on Tuesday nights as it starts a new chapter. He emphasized the importance of connecting with their key demographic, noting that they can do so freely since they set the rules. He then laid out the standards and practices they plan to follow.

Triple H added that from 8 to 10 p.m., they would primarily use trendy words and phrases like “gyat,” “flex,” “slay,” and “bussin’,” while also incorporating terms like “suss,” “drip,” “low-key,” “on god,” and “ratio.”

The banter continued with Michaels humorously critiquing the content, mentioning that they’d include more trendy video references and rap mentions. He playfully pointed out that some people might think cooking is a favored pastime in the Oval Office, only to clarify that he is vegan.

Triple H chimed in, jokingly reminding Michaels that he had eaten. They concluded the segment by encouraging fans to tune in to NXT on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. on the CW for all the action.

Shawn Michaels: ”Good evening, my fellow Americans. We’ve been informed that the CW is proud to present NXT on Tuesday nights as it embarks on a new chapter in its storied history. As we move forward towards the future, we need to ensure that we see eye-to-eye with our key demographic. We only do so when we know the one way to do it. For us, that’s gratuitously. This time, we can’t get in trouble because, strangely enough, we make the rules. Therefore, the following are the standards and practices that we promise to adhere to.”

Triple H: ”From the hours of eight to ten p.m., we will only use the words gyat, flex, slay, and bussin’. We will, however, also make a considered effort to use the words suss, drip, low-key, on god, ratio.”

Shawn Michaels: ”Get you some of that.”

Triple H: ”Any other topical lingo or trending audio. Now as it pertains to video, we promise there will be more skibidi-[gibberish].”

Shawn Michaels: ”Yup, and that is so cringe, brother. We’re not in Ohio, we’re in Chicago. You just can’t pass the vibe check. You are so washed.”

Triple H: ”I’m not washed, you’re washed.”

Shawn Michaels: ”Anyway, there will be more rap references. But on a final note, even though many of you believe that currently the favorite pastime in the Oval Office is to get in the kitchen and cook, let me just say, I happen to be a vegan.”

Triple H: ”Brother, you ate.”

Shawn Michaels: ”Make sure to catch all the action on NXT Tuesday night at 8 p.m. only on the CW.”

For the record, this week’s episode of NXT will go as planned but the Superstars will have to remain in Missouri due to Hurricane Milton, as airports in Florida are shut down. Therefore, Shawn Michaels and Triple H’s parody video might have been a good way to ease the minds of many during this pressing time.
