Britt Baker Pulled from 10/8 AEW Dynamite Due to Illness

Britt Baker fans will be left disappointed as the former AEW Women’s World Champion is forced to miss the October 8 edition of AEW Dynamite due to illness.

Baker was originally scheduled to face Willow Nightingale in a high-stakes match to determine the number one contender for the AEW Women’s World Championship. However, just hours before the show, AEW President Tony Khan took to TikTok to announce the cancellation of the match, citing Baker’s inability to travel due to sickness.

In a quick pivot, Khan revealed that Willow Nightingale would now compete in a four-way match against Saraya, Nyla Rose, and Jamie Hayter. The winner will go on to challenge AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May at AEW WrestleDream for the prestigious title.

The four-way match promises to be an action-packed affair, adding even more anticipation to tonight’s Dynamite Title Tuesday special.
